What’s Sunday Like?

It can be daunting going to church if you haven’t been before, or even haven’t been in a while. Here are some questions we get asked a lot…

I’m on the edge about coming. Is church really for me?

We think so but you’ll never know until you try! So come along and see for yourself. Maybe the idea of church as an institution is not for you but the reality of church as a community is? We’re a church full of imperfect people with different and often messy life stories who have found hope in Jesus. Come this Sunday and see how you might belong.

Where do I park?

LANE COVE

The Canopy Shopping centre is closest (Enter from corner of Rosenthal Ave and Finlayson St).

Additional parking is available in the following Car parks:

Little Street Basement Car Park (entrance via Little Street)

Coles Car Park (entrance via Sera Street)

Woolworths Car Park (entrance via Sera Street)

HOLY TRINITY

There is ample street parking around the church building

Can my kids come? They might be noisy…

Kids of all ages are welcome at all services. A special children’s program runs at our 10am service for creche aged to year 8. We have a crying room and of course, children can choose to remain in the service.

Who looks after the kids during the kids program?

A trained team of dedicated kids program leaders who all have Working With Children Check and have ongoing training in how to keep children safe..

What should I wear?

We wear casual comfortable clothes to church and you should wear what you feel comfortable in.

Do you collect money?

Church members give money to support the work of the church. Most give electronically, however, if you are our guest at church, please be our guest - there is no need to give any money.

Do I have to introduce myself or can I come in quietly?

We love having guests at our church and meeting new people. You are likely to be greeted by other members of our church before the service and you are welcome to stay afterwards to chat. Come and go as you feel comfortable. You might be asked to complete what we call a “Connect Card”. The information you give us would be used to contact you after the service to see if there are any ways we can help you or to answer any questions you might have. You do not have to fill in this card if you don’t want to.

Will I need to sing? I don’t know the songs…

It’s up to you! There will be some live songs for you to listen along to and you are welcome to sing along as you feel comfortable. The words will be displayed on the screen at the front. If you don’t know the songs feel free to read the lyrics and think about them.

How long is the service?

Normally services go for about 60 minutes and you are welcome to stay around for a cuppa afterwards.
